Remember this is Moffat county and if you didn't PROVE it yet, than that means it hasn't really happened and if it hasn't happened than there is NO problem. Now everyone can just go back to watching the suspicious guys in the neighborhoods driving around, and the apartments blowing up (from faulty electrical wiring) causing a death, and all the other actions that residents see but no one else can PROVE. What makes matters worse is we have fantastic men and women in law enforcement here but the hands are always tied because of bureaucracy. Come on, give us a break and show some redneck justice.

OK so I lived in Craig for most of my life. And it doesn't take a genius to figure out who the people are that are using and selling the drugs. Its pretty much the same people that are doing it now that were doing it when I was in highschool. And that was over 10 years ago. So what is the problem???? Why can't these people just be taken care of?? As long as these people are on the streets they will continue to bring the community down with their selling, using and bringing in more drug users to the town because hey your not gonna pay for your crimes here in Craig.

somebodys got their hand in the cookie jar. they are not trying to prevent it jenny. they are arresting, plea bargining, and keeping all the money right here in the 14th disctrict. this is not hard to figure out. Busting kids for non crimes any little infraction in craig will end up bringing revenue into probation, D.A. office, victims comp, CAPS, restitutuion. follow the money.

You’re right; it is all about the money. Not just the money in the small towns, it’s all of the money. Nobody will ever get the drugs out of the small towns (or cities for that matter) until you get the drug cartels to stop feeding the little towns & cities. It’s always going to be some type of drug, in the 70’s it was cocaine & pot. It’s always some new form, some new type—except pot…it’s like the Lynrd Skynrd of drugs…it will always be around (the medically legalizing helps). Whether it is roofies, uppers, downers, cocaine, crack, meth, xtacy….it will never go away. There is too much money behind all of it.

Regardless of the redundancy of saying, “meth is the biggest problem in criag!” it still must be adressed. As a society we are raising induviduals who are more inclined to drug use. I'm not talking about them picking up a joint and thinking some thing insightful, But rather cracking open bulbs and picking their faces off. And what about the children? All the women who can no longer function and rational patient parents are pawning thier babies off on grand parents and the ever damaging foster system.-and the dads alike. what drug can take away the desire to take your child to wrestling games, or even be there to say i love you? METH. Not pot. We need to educate our children on what is the SAFER drug when used responsibly by consenting adaults. When our D.A.R.E. classes throw marijuana in the same catagory as manufactured chemical methamphetamine, it is emplying some eveness of the severity of the drugs. That is why so many kids think, hmmm, i smoked a joint, why not crack! teach your kids the diffrence so the dont find it to be an 'easy' transgrettion. and take the kids and babies away from those disgusting crack heads before they infiltrate their impressional minds with their blatant drug use.

I wonder if any one has noticed the suspicious people who hang around the simmons room…its sad to see nice homes with elderly people living next to an assumed drug pad. I'm purely speculating this of course, but it doesnt take brainiac to to see the people hanging around the simmons room and the residence next door. How long does it take for comunity watch to get smart and refuse to let users in their neighborhood?

Question of the week

Steamboat Springs is considering adopting a social host ordinance, which would add harsher punishments — such as jail time — for adults who knowingly “host” parties where underage drinking is allowed. Do you think Craig needs a social host ordinance?
