Susan Higgs: Decrease adoption fee at animal shelter
July 3, 2008
I recently read there was a fundraiser for the animal shelter.
Dena Thompson: Please control pets
July 2, 2008
I consider a pet owner anyone who has responsibility for an animal.
Reneta (Hahn) Kawcak: Help find classmates
July 2, 2008
The Moffat County High School Class of 1978 would like help from your readers to try to locate the following classmates.
Whitney Galbraith: CADA a monster
June 30, 2008
When Senate Bill 08-200, dubbed as an “extension of prohibitions against discrimination,” was signed into law early this month, it added sexual orientation to an existing list of 20 protected classes of Colorado citizens.
F. Neil Folks: Thanks for coming to COMA meeting
June 28, 2008
I want to personally thank all of those who showed up at Thursday’s noon meeting of Communities Overcoming Meth Abuse.
Dave DeRose: Enforcement thought
June 21, 2008
I have read all of the stories about the recent liquor violations and the idea of enforcement, and I would like to add a thought.
Julie Ann Baker: A heartfelt thank you
June 21, 2008
Words simply cannot convey the gratitude that I would like to express to my family, friends, Moffat County School District colleagues, and fellow community members for the abundance of well wishes, caring thoughts and meals shared with me and my family during my illness these last few weeks.
Sierra Arellano: Thank you to 2008 We See D.C. trip organizers
June 20, 2008
I would like to say on behalf of everyone who went on the 2008 We See D.C. trip, thank you to everyone who got our trip together. Starting with School Tours of America for allowing us to go to Washington, D.C. Secondly, I’d like to thank Mrs. Jenison for arranging everything for us, starting with getting us non-stop plane flights from Denver to Baltimore and back, as well as getting us tickets to many of Washington D.C.’s attractions. I’d also like to thank the chaperones who went along with us.
The family of Donna Mae Kiesling: Thanks for condolences
June 19, 2008
We would like to take this opportunity to thank the ambulance crews — especially Dwaine, Dr. Pamela Kinder, the staff of The Memorial Hospital, Grant Mortuary and all the people who called with concerns and condolences when we lost our mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
Mike Albee: Companies adapt well
June 19, 2008
I would like to clear up a couple of points made by Mr. Germond’s letter June 18. First, grazing and hunting rights were not eliminated within the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument in Utah.
Annie Smyth: Nice MS article
June 19, 2008
I wanted to pass along my kindest thank you to your newspaper and to the young man, Andy Bockelman, who wrote the article in today’s paper about our Multiple Sclerosis group meeting.
Bill Muldoon: Stop sales to minors
June 19, 2008
A Craig Police Department liquor-sales-to-minors compliance check May 3 resulted in 10 more businesses cited for failure to comply. Once again, the police spent a lot of time and taxpayers’ money to enforce the law, and the City Council continues to respond by meting out meaningless penalties to some of the violators and none to others.
Kim Maneotis: Caring and compassion doesn’t go unnoticed
June 18, 2008
About 3:40 p.m. June 10, in front of Downtown Books, a woman lay on the sidewalk with her assist dog. This woman has cerebral palsy and was on her way to an appointment when she fell and was unable to get up.
Glenda Bellio: Thanks for helping someone in need
June 18, 2008
Once again, someone I know broke down on the side of a county road. As they waited with flashers on and hood up, vehicle after vehicle drove by. In each case, one and I mean only one, stopped to see if help was needed.
Patrick Wayne Germond: Need to make some noise, voice opinions
June 18, 2008
It is good to hear our local government is working so hard behind the scenes.
