• July 4 — Independence Day (fly your flag)
• July 21 — First moonwalk by Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin

TMH name change proposal
The local veterans community and widows/families of World War II veterans applaud the hospital board for its decision not to change the name after the past 60 years. We understand the process that began in May and the efforts they went to allow public input. We applaud that opportunity too. We realize the amount of time and documentation that was expended in allowing public opinion instead of meeting by committee behind closed doors and determining a new name in an even smaller group discussion. We also understand that those who have a strong opinion and or interest (pro or con) in a project will take the time to supply it. Thanks to all those who participated in the TMH survey and meetings.

Question of the week
Steamboat Springs is considering adopting a social host ordinance, which would add harsher punishments — such as jail time — for adults who knowingly “host” parties where underage drinking is allowed. Do you think Craig needs a social host ordinance?
