John Paul Hargrave, 25, of Craig, was booked into Moffat County Jail on suspicion of driving while impaired, speeding over the limit, unlawful distribution, manufacturing, sale, and possession of drug paraphernalia and marijuana.

During the opening ceremony of the Relay for Life for the American Cancer Society, all participants were gathered on the infield of the track at the Moffat County High School. Hats were removed and hands were placed over hearts as the color guard presented the symbol of freedom, Old Glory.
Bill Harding: Families need to call, identify servicemen

In order to recognize our local veterans, and/or local families of veterans whose loved ones are inscribed on the Wall in Washington, D.C., and to have the opportunity for those servicemen and women to be recognized for their sacrifice during the Vietnam War while the Moving Wall is in Craig Aug. 8 to Aug. 13, we need family members to call my office so we can try to identify, mark and, if possible, to put together a brief history of their Vietnam service and death.

With increased profits during 2007, The Memorial Hospital Board of Trustees believes it can receive more loans from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to build a new hospital west of town, meaning less of the burden to fund the construction will fall on taxpayers.
