- During the opening ceremony of the Relay for Life for the American Cancer Society, all participants were gathered on the infield of the track at the Moffat County High School. Hats were removed and hands were placed over hearts as the color guard presented the symbol of freedom, Old Glory.

- In order to recognize our local veterans, and/or local families of veterans whose loved ones are inscribed on the Wall in Washington, D.C., and to have the opportunity for those servicemen and women to be recognized for their sacrifice during the Vietnam War while the Moving Wall is in Craig Aug. 8 to Aug. 13, we need family members to call my office so we can try to identify, mark and, if possible, to put together a brief history of their Vietnam service and death.
